Share a Filter

You would like other JIRA users to be able to use a filter you have created

Step-by-step guide

To select a filter:

1. From the Search page (https://jira.savethechildren.net/issues) expand the filters sidebar if it is collapsed.

2. Click on the name of a globally share filter or one of your favourite filters, or navigate to the Manage Filters/Search Filters page by clicking on the 'Find filters' link and use the Search facility to expose the link to the filter you require and click on it..

To share the filter:

1. With the filter page displayed, click on the 'Details' link near the filter title. 

2. The modal dialogue will display the owner and the sharing information relating to the filter.

3. If you are the owner, there will be a link, 'Edit permissions', to the 'Edit Current Filter' page. Click on it. (If you are not the owner you might want to copy the search string from the advanced view of the filter and create your own clone of the filter.)

4. In the Edit Current Filter page you can see the sharing information and 'Add shares' to share with everyone, a group, or a project.

5. When you have made your selection, remember to click the Add + button before navigating back to the filter page via the Save button.
