Issue types help user distinguish different types of work in unique way. They will help you identify, categorize and report on your team's work across Jira. They will help your team build more structure into their working process.

WORKFLOWS

All Jira projects contain issues that your team can view, work on and transition through stages of work: from creation to completion. The path that issues take is called workflow. Each workflow is composed of a set of statuses and transitions that the issues move through during its lifecycle, and typically represents work process within SCI.
