Create a Confluence space

When creating a new confluence space for a project

Step-by-step guide

  1. You will need Confluence administrator rights. I.e. you need to be in the confluence-administrators group.

  2. Log in to Confluence: https://savethechildrenintl-sandbox.atlassian.net

  3. you will see a list of Site spaces on the left of the screen. At the top right of the list is a link: 'Create Space'. Click on it to open the Create space dialogue..

  4. In the Create space dialogue, select the type of space you want (Knowledge base) byt clicking on it.

  5. Click Next.

  6. In the Create a blank space dialogue, enter the space name and space key (e.g. Jira, JIRA). Confluence will make an uppercase space key from the space name.

  7. You can start to create your first article for your project space using the red Create button on the top menu.
