Error while selecting point person or approvers

Symptom:

Users receive the following error screen while performing the following actions:

• selecting point persons

• selecting approvers

• selecting approvers while delegating tasks

Diagnosis:

Investigate what browser the user is using

Cause:

This is a known issue with Internet Explorer 10

Resolution:

Advise the users to do the following:

-          Try typing in the usernames of the users directly (e.g type a.silwal and click on the little person icon to check name. usernames are usually in firstinitial.lastname formats)

-          Go to compatibility mode in internet explorer 10 and try selecting the point persons

-          Use a different browser such as firefox/chrome. This is a workaround solution even though AMS is not supported on these browsers.

-          Request their IT department to downgrade your browser to IE 8 or 9.

Alternatively, AMS Support can also delegate the tasks, or do the needful on AMS on their behalf if they continue to face issues.
