New User Accounts/ Permissions (L1)
SCUK, SCAustralia, SCUS and SCSweden all grant their own permissions
Before giving Access ensure you have the correct approval from a person of the correct level:
•READER- Any SCI staff member can request read only access to the system no approval is required for this.
•EDITOR - Any staff authorised by the Award Manager/ Director (from line manager recommendation).
•APPROVER -
- SCI approvers: Only the Country Director can be an approver at the Country Office Level. Similary, only the Regional Director can be approver at the Regional Office level. Any other delegates can be added as approvers in exceptional circumstances only and will need to be authorized by their relevant CDs or RDs. Please check the official CD list here https://onenet.savethechildren.net/sci/ip/Lists/CountryOffices/AllItems1.aspx . If what you have been asked is not in line with this list, you have to request a copy of e-mail from Regional Director announcing the New Country Director or the Long term Interim. Please also ask user to ensure his official list is updated.
Regional Super Users are responsible for adding new country directors to the relevant approvers group.
They will need to:
a. add the new CD to the approvers group
b. remove old CD from all permission groups
c. Log a ticket with AMS Support in order to update the default approvers list
d. The ticket should then be reassigned to Level 2 Business Support
- Members: as per Members internal rules
If you add an approver, please make sure Arun and Micael are told so that the list of Approvers can be updated.
Any requests for Super User Access must be cleared with Arun or Micael

Approver: Can approve, edit workflow tasks and view data in AMS
Editor: Can edit records, start workflow, upload documents, and view data in AMS
Reader: Can view and download information relevant to their managing office
Users should be added to the relevant implementing office (OrgUnits) or funding office For eg.
For Norway Editor - the user should be added to the following groups:
Member Norway Editors
For United Kingdom Approver - the user should be added to the following groups:
Member United Kingdom Approvers
For West and Central Africa Editor:
Region West and Central Africa Editors
Similarly,
For Ethiopia Editor - the user should be added to the following groups:
Country Ethiopia Country Office Editors
For Nigeria Approver - the user should be added to the following groups:
Country Nigeria Country Office Approvers
For West and Central Africa Reader
Region West and Central Africa Readers
Note that some members will have 3 different groups appear:
•Member Group (E.g Member United Kingdom)
•Domestic Group (E.g. United Kingdom Member Domestic Programmes)
•Head Office Group (E.g United Kingdom Member Head Office)
This was a business requirement to segregate stakeholders so as to best track some domestic programmes in Finance systems e.g. if your Head Office is funding some of your team.
METHOD
On the Navigation bar, go to Admin tab and in the drop down select ‘Users and Groups
You will see the groups you manage.
Click on the group name and the group page will open up
Click on ‘Add users to group’ once you have selected what group you want to add the user to
The add the user you want to be part of the group and select their name. Then click on ‘Add users’ in the bottom right-hand corner of the pop-up. The user will now be added to that group
Remove users from AMS RP
Step 1: Open the Permission group that you manage.
Step 2: Scroll down to the list of users
Step 3: Click on the delete icon on the right hand side to remove the names.
