AMS Champion change

Symptom:

AMS Champion has left the organisation or changed roles.  

It is important to ensure when an AMS Champion changes that they are inducted on awards management and AMS. Internally, the Centre AMS team need to do a few updates. Process is below.

Resolution:

For level 1 support:

  • Identify if this is a Member office AMS Champion change or a SCI office AMS Champion change (use the user's email address, signature to find this out, also use contacts page on AMS, if not clear then confirm with user which office they are from)

  • If SCI AMS Champion change, refer them to the relevant SCI Regional Office AMS Champion and assign ticket to level 2 so we can follow up on this with the regional Champion

  • If a Member AMS Champion change assign ticket to Level 2.

Centre AMS team actions:

  • Update AMS contacts page with new AMS Champion contact

  • Ensure relevant permissions are given for AMS Champion (use the permissions structure AMS Quick Guide G.6 - AMS Champions ) e.g. Member Champion changes - Member Funding Super user group is owned by AMS support so AMS Centre team needs to update the super user group. Another e.g. CO Champion change – CO Super user group is owned by the RO Super user so RO AMS Champion has to update the group and Centre AMS team should check/ remind them.

  • Share the monthly Global AMS Champions call invites

  • Update SC AMS Champions email distribution group (remove old Champion and add new)
