Passwords - SCI Users (L1)

Symptom:

System doesn't accept passwords. The password prompt returns every time a username/password is entered.

Diagnosis:

Ask them if they are able to access https://onenet.savethechildren.net/ with their current password.

Cause:

If the answer to the diagnostic query is negative, then the user changed his/her password via O365. Passwords changed via O365 doesn't synchronise back to the Active Directory. All passwords should be changed via the SCI Password change portal at https://sciad.savethechildren.org/admanagerweb

If they are able to access https://onenet.savethechildren.netb then get their password and check for yourself if you are able to log on using their details.

Check they are using the correct username/ Suggest they use their full email address as their username.

Resolution:

In-country or Regional IT staff must reset the user's SCI password in Active Directory

Additional Notes:

IT personnel must advise users about the proper method of changing their password. The users can change the passwords themselves after 24 hours.
