Budget amendment uploader tool

For offices that are going through Data Migration prior to going live with Coding, we have enabled a Budget Amendment Uploader Tool for Active awards to help them manage the changes to DRCs they may have to make as a part of the transition to budgeting without DEAs.

Please note in order to use the tool, the implementing office on award needs to be at PRIME stance ‘Preparing for Go Live’ and the editor amending the budget needs to be part of the ‘Award Amendment Budget Uploader’ group.

 

Process for user once the above criteria is fulfilled:

 

  1. Request an amendment on award​

  2.  On amendment record click ‘edit’ & navigate to the ‘budget tab’​

  3.  Click on ‘Download budget lines’ – this will download an excel spreadsheet with current budget lines pre-populated.​

  4.  In this spreadsheet, you can add in new DRC lines with relevant information and also 0 out/amend the total and committed amount values against any pre-existing DRC lines if required.  Current validation rules for amending budget lines still exist.

  5.  Once you’ve completed amending the DRCs in the spreadsheet; save the excel keeping the name the same as the download.

  6.  Navigate back to the budget tab on award record in AMS​

  7.  Click on ‘Manage budget lines’​

  8.  Click on ‘Upload budget details using the AMS template’. This button can be found at the bottom of the list of budget lines​

  9.  Save your award and all changes should now be reflected on the budget tab.
