Reopening a SOF or Changing final posting date

Symptom:

Award SOF gets closed in Agresso once the final posting date is passed. Previously Agresso support allowed the manual reopening of the SOF (after a series of approvals via email). This will no longer be allowed.

Resolution:

The standard guidance issued to Countries and Members is that all reopening of SOFs will now be done by extending the final posting date in AMS.

• Once the award is reopened AMS support it goes in Pre-closeout state. 

• For any Award which is in Pre-Closeout state cost posting is not possible in Agresso, it is mandatory to extend the final posting date.

• The final posting date extension can be done by requesting an amendment, running an amendment workflow and the activation of fund summary amendment.

• If the amendment is for final posting date only (or other minor adjustments), then the Country Office Award lead can approve the amendment agreement workflow on behalf of SCI. The Member approvals remain unaffected (per their individual scheme of delegation, where defined).

• Once the amendment process is completed, AMS will automatically transfer the new final posting date to Agresso overnight. 

• The SOF will then re-open in Agresso for posting costs.
