Budget Amendment Uploader
Case 1: Budget Uploader wont recognise my file (L1)
Symptom:
The budget uploader does not recognise the file. It will flash up in the browse box but then disappear before the user can do anything.
Cause:
The user has used some incorrect formatting in the file
Solution:
Check the file for incorrect formatting e.g. line breaks in the descriptions, descriptions are over the character limits etc.
Case 2: I cannot see budget uploader template
Where to find budget uploader or why budget uploader option is not available to the user.
Cause:
The option to use Budget amendment uploader is only available to offices preparing to go-live with Prime and for users selected to be part of the onboarding process.
The users should be part of "Award Amendment Budget Uploader Users" and that should be requested by the CAPP team.
The option is available on the Award Amendment under the Budge tab
Once AMS support add them to the group they will be able to see the down load and upload options
Solution:
L1:
Under Org unit record check if the user is Part of or supporting an office which is "Preparing to Go live"
L2: Once we add the users to the Budget amendment uploader group, do inform them the following points
Once the work is done they should send an email to AMS team to get the approval group updated and remove the rights of the users who no longer will be working for budget update.
While updating the "Budget Amendment Uploader Excel" they should not input values with more than 2 decimal points.
Case 3: Unable to save edit award or run workflow after updating budget using budget uploader, error message "Invalid budget lines"
Symptom:
The user is unable to edit and save Amendment record or run the approval workflow. They are getting error "Invalid Budget Lines"
Cause:
They might have used "Budget Amendment uploader" that could lead to this issue. If the users use value more than 2 decimal point in the "Budget Amendment Uploader Excel", and upload the file that leads to this error message at times.
Solution:
L1:
Check if the user used "Budget Amendment uploader" template to update the budget lines.
If yes, tell them to modify the excel file by modifying any values that has values more than 2 decimal points, and limiting them to 2 decimal points. Once they do that, then reupload the file. If the error persists after doing these steps send the ticket to L2
If they have not used the uploader and experiencing the error, check with the L2 team
